The Synagogue Church

In Nazareth, we also went to the church built over the synagogue where Jesus taught and prayed and studied. This would have been the synagogue where Jesus was rejected in Nazareth after he read from the scroll of the prophet Isaiah, in which he said, “the Spirit of the Lord, is upon me…”. And concluded, saying, “today this word is fulfilled in your hearing”.

We also stopped at a street market in Nazareth and tried some local herbs and olives. We tasted hyssop, the herb used at the Passover meal. It taste like Italian oregano.
